Job Description 

VACANCY: Rotor Wing Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 

REPORTING: Chief Engineer

LOCATION: Central Africa, Burkina Faso

Starlite Aviation Group has a contract requirement for responsible, knowledgeable, and attentive individual to fill a position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (SACAA Licensed). The role will be located in Africa (bases may vary according to contract requirements).

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance of Aircraft:

  • Serviceable Aircraft Delivered.
  • Ensure all work is carried out according to OEM Documentation.
  • Carry out fault finding and defect rectification.
  • Ensure the correct spares are ordered.
  • Maintain Good Tool control.
  • Comply with SACAA or other relevant Authorities Regulations.
  • Maintain a high-Quality Standard.
  • Adhere to Standard Times for Maintenance Task.
  • Experience in defect diagnostics and rectifications.
  • Experience in embodiment of modifications, satisfying ASBs, CSNs, SSIs and ADs.
  • Prepare and assist with Internal and External Audits.
  • Conformance to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following list of qualifications is essential for this position:

  • Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME License holder).
  • Valid SACAA License.
  • Rotorcraft type rating applicable to AMO Scope of Approval (preferable).
  • Type rated 332L/332C1e (H215) / EC225LP (Essential or at least adequate recent experience on types to be licensed).
  • Knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance logistical support systems.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Experience of the CAMO system (advantageous).
  • Willing to travel abroad.
  • Experience in contact work abroad (advantageous).
