PNG Air is seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join its Engineering Maintenance Team in Port Moresby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform aircraft maintenance safely, correctly and within assigned completion times.
  • Ensure safety and environmental requirements are followed and equipment is properly maintained.
  • Complete all required company documentation relating to assigned maintenance work.
  • Provide on-the-job technical training to new or less experienced employees when required.
  • Support aircraft maintenance practices, company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Must have completed applicable regulatory training to ICAO Standards – EASA and CASA PNG.
  • Must have completed an aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent Certificate IV, including recognised military or commercial training.

  • Sound knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work shifts, meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to transfer technical knowledge to other maintenance personnel.
  • Good computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word would be beneficial.
