Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Flier Experience Associate to join the BLADE team in a part-time, temporary capacity. This role is in Westchester County, NY.
In this guest-facing role, you will be the face of the brand, delivering exceptional hospitality and seamless service throughout every step of the flier journey. From greeting guests and managing check-ins to coordinating ground transportation and anticipating individual preferences, this role is key to creating a premium, personalized travel experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exudes professionalism and warmth, and is passionate about delivering best-in-class service with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the brand by providing guests reservation updates, pertinent information, lists of BLADE amenities, ground transport recommendations, etc. as needed. 
  • Confirm all necessary information (using electronic tablets) such as passenger lists, flight status, as well as any other item that may support efficient and timely check-in processes. 
  • Manage inventory for the heliport to ensure all needed items are in stock for each flight. 
  • Ensure that any guest preferences are recorded on the passenger profile and are well introduced to the appropriate departments for follow-up. 
  • Direct or escort guests to their aircraft or ground transportation and provide help with luggage. 
  • Quickly adapt to nuances of working at different BLADE stations.
  • Make sure any irregularities and discrepancies are recorded on the departmental Slack channel and brought to the attention of the appropriate team leader. 
  • Exhibit high levels of discretion by keeping all flier, guest, and company data confidential.
  • Organize and maintain the front desk/counter, ensuring all materials and supplies are readily available and accessible to expedite smooth travel in/out procedures. 
  • Effectively communicate with pilots, ground crew, flight attendants, and potentially third-party personnel using radios and headsets.
  • Familiarize yourself with all BLADE services and departments, to be able to address, assist and actively upsell to guests. 
  • Prioritize safety in everything you do and report all incidents immediately to senior management. 
  • Arrange ground transportation for passengers for upcoming flights and ensure the car is waiting/staged for them when they land.
  • Perform walk-around inspections, basic safety checks on ground vehicles and aircrafts, and ensure ramp areas are clear of FOD (Foreign Object Debris).

Required

  • Two years experience is a customer service role. 
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must be able to commute to Westchester County Airport (HPN) station via mass transit or have your own transportation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule from 2/23-4/30 including; on-call rotations, Saturdays & Sundays, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
  • Possesses great communication skills, with the ability to present and speak with confidence and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to perform with grace under pressure. 
  • Ability to be sensitive to cultural nuances. 
  • Outdoor Work: The majority of the work takes place outdoors on the airport ramp or cargo areas, exposed to various weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch. 
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs as required.

Desired

  • Prior experience in a luxury environment is a huge plus.
  • Prior experience at a front desk at a hotel, restaurant, spa/fitness center highly preferred.

EEO

You will receive a base salary at the rate of $25-$35/hour, less all applicable deductions and withholdings. Such salary will be paid in accordance with the Company’s regular payroll practice, which is currently bi-weekly. 

Classification: As a non-exempt employee, you will be eligible for overtime as per state guidelines.
