General
This is a full-time position that will report to the Vice President of Technical Services and interact with the Hangar Maintenance Technicians, the Company’s Flight Mechanics, and Flight Crews. The responsibilities include the day-to-day aircraft maintenance needs of the Company involving a variety of maintenance tasks relating to the Company’s aircraft and engines. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of all FAR aircraft maintenance requirements. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working with maintenance crews in a fast-paced/dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversees Hangar Maintenance technicians and contract aircraft maintenance as appropriate and adheres to approved procedures and data while performing their duties.
• Responsible for meeting the aircraft arriving at MCI, checking aircraft maintenance logs, and responding to discrepancies by assigning tasks and manpower for items entered in the logbook.
• Oversees the performance of routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft, at both the hangar and line maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with acceptable data and in a timely manner.
• References the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, the Illustrated Parts Catalog, the Structural Repair Manual, the Component Maintenance Manuals, and the wiring diagrams to perform work on aircraft.
• Ensures required paperwork is accurately prepared and signed off using procedures set forth in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
• Uses only approved and certified hardware, parts, and equipment to be installed or used on aircraft.

• Responsible for ensuring parts are correctly ordered for the maintenance discrepancy.
• Perform on-the-job training.
• Promotes teamwork amongst maintenance personnel and the FME crews.
• Helps maintain facilities and equipment as directed by the leadership team.
• Maintain hangar cleanliness.
• Upholds safety and security procedures and awareness.
• Has the ability to obtain additional qualifications through training and education as needed.
• Fill in for the Hangar Manager in his or her absence.
• Other duties as assigned by the Hangar Manager or Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
• Ability to successfully pass assessment which demonstrates basic knowledge of line maintenance under part 121 operations.
• Five (5) years of experience or more on commercial aircraft in a Part 121 environment
• Three (3) years of experience or more of supervisory experience
• Ability to travel to airport/aircraft field locations with little or short notice.
• Ability to drive tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift, and tractor, and/or other maintenance vehicles.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written communication.
• Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stoop frequently in confined spaces.
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards.
• Pass a two (2) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and the Internet
• Familiarity with accessing online aircraft manuals.
• Work will include outdoors with seasonal weather..
• Ability to work in elevated areas.
