Job Title: Director, Marketing and Communications

Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to strengthen brand positioning, support sales initiatives, and expand market share across Piper’s product portfolio. This role leads corporate marketing efforts including brand management, communications, digital marketing, events, and product promotion while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The Director oversees marketing teams, manages departmental budgets, and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Support, Product Development, and the dealer network to drive effective marketing programs and business growth.

Essential Job Functions

· Develop and lead the company’s overall marketing strategy to strengthen brand awareness, market position, and product demand across global markets.

· Direct the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns including digital marketing, advertising, public relations, events, product launches, and promotional programs.

· Oversee the development and management of corporate branding, messaging, and positioning to ensure consistency across all communications and marketing channels.

· Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans and budgets aligned with corporate sales objectives and strategic initiatives.

· Manage and mentor the marketing organization including marketing managers, communications specialists, digital marketing personnel, and internal/external creative teams.

· Oversee corporate communications including executive messaging, press relations, media engagement, and crisis communications when required.

· Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans and budgets aligned with corporate sales objectives and strategic initiatives.

· Manage and mentor the marketing organization including marketing managers, communications specialists, digital marketing personnel, and creative teams.

· Oversee corporate communications including executive messaging, press relations, media engagement, and crisis communications when required.

· Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to support aircraft launches, sales initiatives, customer events, and dealer marketing programs.

· Establish metrics and analytics to evaluate marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and campaign performance, ensuring continuous improvement.

· Direct global event strategy including trade shows, industry events, product demonstrations, and dealer conferences.

· Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities to guide marketing strategies and product positioning.

· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and key customer engagements.

· Ensure effective coordination of marketing activities across departments to support customer experience initiatives, and sales programs.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required.

· Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership roles.

· Experience within aviation, aerospace, or other highly technical industries preferred.

· Proven experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans that support revenue growth and brand development.

· Experience managing marketing teams, budgets, and complex marketing programs.

· Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing, brand strategy, communications, and event marketing.

Physical Demands

· Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, including walking and standing for extended periods during trade shows, events, and demonstrations.

Mental Demands

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Expert level PowerPoint skills desired.

· Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

· Requires strong strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, and independent decision-making.

· Ability to evaluate complex information and exercise sound judgment while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.

· Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives.

· International and domestic travel and overtime are required when necessary.
