About the Role
We are seeking an experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to support ongoing line and base maintenance operations in Papua New Guinea. This role suits engineers who are adaptable, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in remote or challenging operational environments.
You will be responsible for certifying maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with CASA PNG / Part 145 requirements, and supporting safe aircraft operations across PNG bases.
Key Responsibilities
- Certify and release aircraft to service in accordance with applicable regulations
- Conduct line and scheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft types
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and compliant
- Maintain high safety, quality, and human factors standards
- Work collaboratively with operations, engineering leadership, and junior engineers
Essential Requirements
- Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) – CASA PNG, CASA, or EASA, SACAA or similar (with PNG validation eligibility)
- Relevant type ratings (rotary or fixed wing depending on fleet)
- Proven experience in remote or regional operations (PNG or similar environments highly regarded)
- Strong safety culture and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small base team
Desirable Experience
- PNG operational or expat experience
- Part 145 line and/or base maintenance background
- Rotary Wing or Fixed Wing experience aligned to PNG fleet types
- Prior experience acting as Base Engineer or senior certifying engineer
