Role Summary

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - (AME E - Avionics)

 

We are seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Category E (Avionics) to join our Base Maintenance team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing, inspecting, and certifying avionics maintenance in accordance with airworthiness standards and Transport Canada regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the required authorizations for the aircraft you work on.
  • Ensure the quality of work carried out by yourself and/or non-certifying staff under your supervision.
  • Assist in instruction and training of apprentices
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints/wiring diagrams
  • Troubleshoot issues and develop actions to rectify them
  • Accurately document and certify maintenance carried out within your scope of authority.
  • Ensure all documentation used during maintenance is of the correct revision status.
  • Stay current with all amendments to Company Procedures/Manuals and all other relevant technical data.
  • Properly control all tools used during maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work areas under your control.
  • Work in compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift work may be required with occasional weekends as required.
  • Travel may be required.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Essential Qualifications

  • Transport Canada AME E
  • Legal right to live and work in Canada

 

 Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience on Bell 412, Sikorsky S92 or Leonardo AW139 are an asset

 

 Skills/Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience on rotary wing aircraft is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience with AMOS MRO software is an advantage.
