Minimum Requirements And Qualifications

  • A&P or A FAA license required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience)
  • Strong command of both theoretical and practical aspects of aircraft maintenance, with contemporary knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented educational setting.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with the capability to multitask and perform well under pressure
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and professionalism in all interactions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service in an educational context
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Exhibits a positive, team-oriented attitude by remaining flexible and available to work outside of scheduled hours when needed, as directed by the Supervisor

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in Aircraft Repair at MRO or Airline level
  • Previous Aircraft Maintenance training experience
  • Completed Gen Fams for Boeing, Airbus, and other aircraft makes and models
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and explain aircraft structural drawings

Major Responsibility Areas And Duties

  • Teach classes on a scheduled basis, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters student engagement and enhances learning in aircraft maintenance.
  • Develop and refine curriculum, prepare course materials, and schedule classes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use.
  • Establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records for each student, submitting attendance, grades, evaluations, and other documentation as required by procedures.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of department equipment and supplies, submitting replenishment requests to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Monitor student attendance closely, alerting the Supervisor to any absences which could lead to potential retention issues.

Additional Duties

  • Complete other tasks and projects assigned by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the aircraft maintenance program.

Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions

  • Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a normal office environment.
  • Ability to stand and speak to large groups of personnel for an extended amount of time.
  • Minimal off shift and weekend assignments may be required when needed.
  • Ability to operate and train sheet metal fabrication and safety equipment necessary to perform the job.
