The Dispatcher serves as the primary and main point of contact for students and instructors coming in to fly at Skyhaven airport. The position includes the need for attention to detail, communication skills, and listening skills. Physical and environmental factors include the possibility of exposure to loud noises. Dispatchers will work with word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation formats to update aircraft status for students/instructors and will be expected to be punctual and remain courteous and professional at all times.
Examples of Duties
Duties Include: Ramp out and ramp in aircraft books to students/instructors Act as main point of contact for flight operations calls Coordinate fuel, aircraft placement, and maintenance issues with the appropriate personnel Maintain confidentiality when necessary Update spreadsheets/presentations with aircraft status.
Typical Qualifications
Education: Must be a student at the University of Central Missouri in the Professional Pilot or Aviation Management degree program. Minimum of 6 credit hors enrolled for Fall semester
Experience:Private Pilot Certificate (must be attached)
Supplemental Information
Working Hours: Monday-Sunday 5:30am - 7:00pm No more than 20 hours per week
