JetRx is seeking a motivated A&P Mechanic with King Air and PT6 experience to join our expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to support JetRx’s partnership with Valkyrie Aero, delivering MT 5- and 7-blade propeller upgrades for Caravan, Kodiak, Pilatus, King Air, and Beech 1900 aircraft.
You’ll work closely with an MT factory-trained and authorized technician, gaining hands-on experience with advanced MT composite propeller systems. After completing a field apprenticeship program, you will be eligible to attend MT Factory School to further develop your expertise.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Remove existing aircraft propeller assemblies in preparation for MT upgrade installations.
- Build up and install new MT Propeller Assemblies in-situ, following all applicable procedures.
- Perform engine test runs and vibration analysis after installation to ensure optimal performance.
- Travel to customer locations when propeller installations are scheduled, completing the install and associated vibration analysis on-site.
- Document work in accordance with FAA regulations and JetRx quality standards.
- Represent JetRx and Valkyrie Aero professionally while working directly with customers in the field.
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the operation.
- Ability to travel for installation assignments.
- Additional duties as assigned.
When not on the the road:
- Work at one of JetRx’s locations in Southern Florida (Miami–Opa Locka, Fort Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach).
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on corporate jets and turboprop aircraft,
- Support daily shop operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid FAA A&P license required.
- Experience with King Air airframes and PT6 engines required.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent customer service mentality.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather
- Ability to work successfully independently or as part of a team
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, processes, and procedures. Demonstrate flexibility in problem solving when require
- Ability to work in a manual environment, with physical demands such as:
-Lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50lbs
- Bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
-Work at heights in excess of 5 feet
-Work in confined spaces
-Ability to accurately judge distances
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MT Propellers or other turboprop propeller systems
- Previous mobile maintenance or field-service experience.
- Familiarity with Caravan, Kodiak, Pilatus, or Beech 1900 aircraft
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment urine drug screen and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with company policy.
- Hold a current mechanic certificate with valid FAA airframe and powerplant ratings
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain SIDA and/or non-SIDA airport badges by passing a background check ordered by the airport.
- Must be able to pass comprehensive background check including a TSA required fingerprint based criminal records check in compliance with TSA Security Program Standards and 49 CFR 154.229 and CFR 1544.230.
