Description

The Sales Global Business Leader for Business & General Aviation is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build long-term customer relationships throughout the Business and General Aviation markets. This individual will develop and lead a high-performing sales team, establish key partnerships, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s presence in the aviation industry. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping a sales organization that consistently delivers results and fuels our company’s success. You will be a critical member of the Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership team, responsible for defining and executing the company’s annual revenue plan in these key sectors. This role demands a strategic thinker and operational leader who thrives on developing scalable processes, managing high-growth teams, and delivering consistent sales success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share growth
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives
  • Drive the sales process, from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and contract closure
  • Design and implement strategies and processes for consistent pipeline generation and management, ensuring sales goals are met or exceeded
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify strategic growth opportunities
  • Provide valuable insights to the leadership team on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and product development
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and success
  • Enhance customer experience through proactive engagement and tailored solutions
  • Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing sales team by recruiting top talent, developing systematic hiring processes, and implementing effective onboarding programs
  • Establish a culture of excellence through ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring all team members meet or exceed performance expectations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the aviation industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing high-performance teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and customer-centric mindset
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and working with executive-level decision-makers
  • Proficiency in leveraging CRM systems and sales analytics to drive accountability and insights
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of business and general aviation market dynamics, including key players, regulations, and emerging trends
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a senior leadership role

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $204,000 - $320,000.

This position is currently part of Boeing but is planned to transition to an independent company owned by Thoma Bravo, as part of a pending divestiture of the Digital Aviation Solutions organization. If you are selected for this role, your employment may initially be with Boeing (dependent on start date). Subject to final regulatory approvals and closing conditions, your employment may transfer to the divested business owned by Thoma Bravo at close. Additional details about this transition will be shared as they become available.
