As a Captain in the Flight Department, you’ll oversee the safe operation of the company aircraft. In this role, you’ll make all flight preparations, ensure the aircraft is airworthy, plan routes and schedules based on executive needs and weather conditions, and provide superior customer service to passengers. Additionally, you’ll also prioritize all flights and ground operations to comply with federal, state, and local regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
Ability to work variable and flexible hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays in response to business needs.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aeronautics and a minimum of 5 years of Pilot experience with at least 4000 hours total flight time, of which at least are 3000 hours as jet/turbine and at least 1500 hours as Pilot-in-Command
- FAA ATP license with a CL-30 aircraft Type Rating
- Must possess an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Certificate
- Must possess a current FAA Class I Physical Exam and must also successfully pass a pre-employment, FAA Class I Physical Exam and drug test
- No major accidents or violations on record with the FAA chargeable to the Pilot
- Must possess current passport or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the U.S. (multiple reentry status)
- This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies
Preferred skills
- Expert knowledge of the pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations
- Experience preparing flight plans consistent with executives' schedules
- Demonstrated experience with pre-flight inspections and performing all other necessary flight preparations
- Ability to adjust to changing circumstances, maintain professionalism under pressure, make critical decisions to ensure the safety of aircraft and passengers
- Strong understanding and commitment to maintaining a culture of safety in all aviation operations
Compensation
- $112,300 - $175,000/year
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
