Outline of the Job
As the Avionics Development Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading the avionics development team for our next-generation eVTOL aircraft.
This position requires a balance of leadership and hands-on technical expertise, ensuring that all avionics systems meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and innovation. You will also act as the primary interface with the supplier, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the development process.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of avionics engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee and participate in the design, development, and testing of avionics systems: ATA 23 (Communications), ATA 25-60 (ELT), ATA 31 (Indicating and Recording System) and ATA 34 (Navigation).
- Support the integration of the avionics systems with other aircraft systems, such as but not limited to flight controls system and electrical power system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for overseas suppliers, managing technical discussions, specifications, and timelines to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software, and hardware teams, to ensure on-time delivery of avionics systems.
- Ensure all avionics systems comply with aviation industry standards and regulations, including ARP4754, DO-178C, and DO-254. Lead the team in addressing any technical challenges or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of development processes, technical specifications, and project milestones. Provide regular updates to senior management.

Essential Skills
- 7+ years of avionics development experience
- Familiarity with requirements in FAA 14CFR Part 23, 91 and 135, as well applicable advisory circulars.
- Familiarity with equipment related to the following systems: communication, emergency (ELT), indicating and recording, lighting and navigation.
- Ability to develop a certification plan for the avionics and lighting system and discuss it with the authority.
- Ability to develop system architectures, interface control documents, system descriptions, test specifications and other articles required during the aircraft development and certification.
- Ability to develop feasibility studies and perform or lead equipment selection.
- Ability to review and approve wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
- Ability to perform tests on a HIL environment and support ground and flight tests on the aircraft.
- Ability to analyze test data, identify deviations to the requirements and discuss solutions with the suppliers.
- Ability to manage suppliers to ensure that the product will meet the company requirements.
- Familiarity with aviation industry standards and regulations, particularly ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Good understanding on the RTCA DO-160 and the effects of each section on the equipment performance.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in eVTOL or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) development.
- Advanced knowledge of system safety standards and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, including FMS and display technologies.
- Strong communication skills, with experience interfacing with international suppliers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with at least the aerospace communication buses/protocols: ARINC 429, ARINC 825 and RS-232.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing technical teams in a high-paced and dynamic development environment, throughout all phases of aircraft design and certification.

- Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)
Working Hours

- Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)

Salary
- Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
