We’re looking for an Avionics and Mechanical Systems Technical Specialist to join our ranks!

Purpose of the role

To help ensure that airlines operating CRJ aircraft keep flying reliably and safely, MHIRJ has built a worldwide ecosystem of support with our Customer Response Center (CRC) at its core. The point of entry of all technical and parts-related issues regarding the CRJ Fleet, the Avionics and Mechanical Systems Technical Specialists stand ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide comprehensive, live support.

Avionics and Mechanical Systems Technical Specialist come from a variety of backgrounds. This includes mechanic and avionics professionals who have worked on the CRJ Series production line, to people with backgrounds in Heavy Checks, MRO and general, business and commercial aviation. These experts specialize in urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations as well as routine queries and provide immediate support that extends from troubleshooting aircraft to diagnosing and remedying technical issues, dispatching on-the-ground engineering assistance or shipping a much-needed component.

Here are the daily responsibilities for an Avionics and Mechanical Systems Technical Specialist:

• Be part of incredible team with a shared passion for aviation. 
• Coordinate technical investigations with engineering, supplier’s and aircraft operators.
• Carry out a technical analysis and assessment of the problem (trouble shooting) and make corrections.
• Answer technical queries from airline operators by bringing tailored solutions
• Assess and investigate service difficulties and contribute to providing long term solutions
• Build relationships with key decision makers and influencers among our airline’s customers
• Promote MHIRJ products and services in order to contribute overall profitability. 

Here is what is required to succeed:

• You have an FAA-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) A&P license with proficiency in one of the following trades: Avionics or Mechanical systems
• You have 5 years of experience working with an airline or MRO organization on the CRJ products. Experience in MOC or Technical Services is a plus.
• You are a strong team player showing initiative, have a strong sense of responsibility and possess good technical and commercial judgment.
• You are willing to travel on short notice (less than 10% of your working time)
• You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build and foster positive relationship, being able to communicate effectively at all levels with demonstrated tact and diplomacy. As the role is linked to technical documentation.
• You are capable of working under pressure, be attentive to details, have good planning skills and be fully committed to accomplishing work on time and on schedule.
• You are self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple time sensitive initiatives simultaneously.
