The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician functions as an FAA certified airframe and powerplant mechanic, performing FAA required inspections and repairs of all aircraft assigned to the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology. Perform ancillary functions relative to the operation of the Purdue University aircraft fleet including: towing aircraft, ground deicing, aircraft cleaning, fueling, hangaring, and security. Assist in recordkeeping functions of aircraft maintenance, FAA regulations, aircraft service bulletins, service letter and manuals. Assist in the maintenance of ground support equipment and physical facilities.
This position will be filled as an Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician or an Aircraft Maintenance Technician level. The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
