As an Aviation Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft systems and components to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Your duties will include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs and replacements, and adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of aircraft systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This is a Kotzebue, AK based position that is rotational, not eligible for PTO.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Physical requirements: Possess adequate physical fitness to handle the physical like lifting heavy objects, tools, and equipment, standing, walking and working in uncomfortable positions. Manual dexterity to handle tools and other components with precision. Agility and flexibility to work in confined spaces within the aircraft structure as they may need to bend, crawl, kneel and reach into tight areas to access equipment and perform inspections and repairs. Good vision, including color vision as a crucial factor to distinguish color-coded wiring and safety markings. Hearing ability to detect and interpret auditory cues, such as abnormal sounds or equipment malfunctions and diagnosing problems. Respiratory health is essential as mechanics may work in environments where exposure to fumes, chemicals and airborne particles is possible.
