Air Attack Experience Requirements

(Requirements are set by the US Forest Service and are non-negotiable)

Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Class, Instrument Rating and:

Total time:  1,500 hrs
Pilot-in-Command total:  1,200
Pilot-in-Command, as follows:
Multi-Engine Airplane:  200
Fixed wing - past 12 months:  100
Cross Country:  500
*Mountainous terrain:  200
Night:  100
Instrument - in flight:  50
Instrument - actual/simulated:  75
**Make and Model:  25

* Mountainous terrain as defined in the Aeronautical Information Manual (Figure 5-6-2)
** Time in AC-690 will be provided by Ponderosa during training.

Total Time:  2,000 hrs
Multi-Engine:  200
Cross Country:  500
Night:  100
Instrument Actual/Simulated:  75
