As an A&P Mechanic at StandardAero Augusta, you will be responsible for performing heavy maintenance and major inspections on mid-sized corporate aircraft. StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of 22 models of corporate aircraft, and 2 lines of Honeywell turbofan engines. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprint and growing our teams! 

What You Will Do:

  • Inspect aircraft per OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
  • Remove and install wheels, brakes, flight controls and riggings
  • Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems including hydraulics, landing gear, and more.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Analyze mechanical problems to determine the best repair methods.
  • Test, repair, and adjust engines, engine controls, and flight controls.
  • Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
  • Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan aircraft.
  • Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
  • Make informed decisions on maintenance techniques and troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License 
  • Prior Aviation Training or Certifications (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate’s Degree).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Availability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Corporate/Business Aviation experience 
  • Previous experience working on Embraer, Falcon, Lear, Citation, Challenger, Gulfstream, Global and/or Hawker aircraft.
  • Experience working in a Service Center, Military Depot, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) environment.
  • Experience/Training on Honeywell, Textron, StarLink, GoGo, Garmin, Bombardier, Dassault, and/or Gulfstream products
