Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Aviation Pilot to join our team. This role is crucial in providing safe, efficient, and comfortable air transportation for company executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.


The Pilot In Command pilots or acts as second-in-command in operating the organization's aircraft. The Pilot In Command work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.



The Pilot-in-Command (PIC) is accountable to the Chief Pilot for the safe conduct of assigned flights.


  • The Pilot-in-Command shall be responsible for the operation, safety and security of the aircraft and the safety of all crew members, passengers and cargo on board.
  • Ensuring that a flight will not be commenced if a flight crew member is incapacitated from performing duties by any cause such as injury, sickness, fatigue, or the effects of any psychoactive substance
  • Ensuring that the flight will not be continued beyond the nearest suitable airport when flight crew members’ capacity to perform functions is significantly reduced by impairment of faculties from causes such as fatigue, sickness or lack of oxygen
  • Checking weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available, and determining fuel, oil and oxygen requirements
  • Determining the aircraft weight and balance
  • Performing runway analysis for the required airports
  • Ensuring that all flight planning requirements have been met
  • Ensuring that aircraft crew members have valid licenses, medical certificates, passports and visas if and when required
  • Completing an aircraft pre-flight inspection before each departure
  • Briefing the passengers in accordance with the requirements specified in the Standard Operating Procedures chapter
  • Operating the aircraft in accordance with Humana’s Standard Operating Procedures Manual and aircraft limitations
  • Ensuring compliance with customs, immigrations and cabotage laws
  • Completing all post flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location
  • Recording flight times and aircraft defects
  • Notifying the appropriate Humana Representatives according to Humana’s Emergency Response Plan by the quickest available means of any accident involving the aircraft, resulting in serious injury or death of any person or substantial damage to the aircraft or property
  • Responsible for reporting any unsafe condition or personnel action to the designated Safety Officer or designee
  • Other duties as assigned

General Requirements:



  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current and valid US Passport
  • This role is based and stationed out of Louisville, Kentucky,


FAA Requirements:



  • Current First class FAA medical Certificate
  • Valid Aeronautical Radio Telephone Operator Permit
  • Holds current and valid FAA ATP Pilot Certificate and instrument rating


Flight Requirements:



  • Prefer experience in jet aircraft with FMS and EFIS
  • Minimum flight time for PIC:
    • 4000 hours total time
    • 1000 hours PIC, of which 500 turbine hours
    • 1000 hours jet aircraft


Preferred Qualifications


  • Falcon 50 and/or Falcon 2000 Easy type rating
  • Bachelor's degree

Pay Range


The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
