Meanwhile, our 24/7 Operations Centre, Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) and Systems Integration Lab in South Australia are at the core of our operations, coordinating missions, as well as collaborating with local SMEs to prototype and test aircraft mission management system hardware, software, equipment and wiring integration for mission support and ISR operations.

Your New Role

We are looking for experienced pilots to join our Search and Rescue team, who are passionate about making a difference – with these roles having a humanitarian focus, aimed at assisting people in distress.

Working in a highly dynamic environment, our passionate, mission focused team are made up of people from diverse industry backgrounds.

This is not an ordinary pilot job! You will command a highly modified modern medium business jet, equipped with the most advanced technology ever to be integrated into a civil SAR platform and work with a highly skilled team.

As a Pilot with the Search & Rescue team, you will provide support to your entire crew, working diligently, quickly, and professionally, to ensure that each mission is a success.

About You and What You'll Bring

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (some nationality restrictions apply due to ITAR requirements)
• Australian Passport or Passport from a country without travel restrictions
• Australian CPL(A) and Australian Instrument Rating with MEA, IAP 2D and IAP 3D
• CASA Class 1 Australian Medical
• Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC)
• To qualify for the position you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • 2000 hours total flying time
  • 500 hours total flying time in command/ICUS
  • 500 hours multi engine time or, if less, at least 250 hours turbo-prop time
• Completion of Australian ATPL human factors examination

In addition:

• Instructor qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience in low level flying; SAR or surveillance operations will be highly regarded.
• You must commit to being within 30 minutes of your assigned base location when on night standby (FIFO is not available for SAR flying roles)
• Type rating training will attract a Bond
