Our fleet currently consists of C208 Caravans, Dash 8 Aircraft and recently acquired Airbus aircraft.
About the role
We are looking for a casual B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer with C208 Caravan experience and a CASA licence to support our Caravan operations on Horn Island until the transfer of operations is finalised. The expected duration of the role is 1 to 3 months, with the possibility of extension. This is a FIFO position on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, with accommodation provided on the island.
Reporting to the Responsible Manager – Part 145, you will be responsible for providing high level aircraft maintenance to our fleet of Caravan aircrafts in accordance with Company policy and CASA regulations.

You will be responsible for:
This role will typically see you:
• Ensuring maintenance of the Skytrans aircraft is completed and certified in accordance with regulatory, manufacturers and Part 145 MOE requirements
• Ensuring the ongoing serviceability and presentation of company aircraft on a daily basis, carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Researching requirements for upcoming maintenance to ensure availability of parts
• Testing of equipment and tooling
• Rectifications of defects away from base
• Contributing to the safety and quality managements system
• Undertaking corrective rectification of aircraft systems
• Completing scheduled aircraft maintenance
• Completing primary line maintenance activities
• May involve travel to other bases if required
Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their application:
• Must hold PT-6 License
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a professionally diverse team, but also have the ability to work unsupervised
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to successfully obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
• Ability to pass random and routine drug and alcohol screening for employment purposes
