This position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor
Responsible for their assigned work area, shop, or ramp, to ensure that it is kept clean and free of hazards.
Perform all aviation maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the highest shop practices and in the interest of safety of flight.
Be familiar with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies.
Assist in the planning, directing, laying out and coordinating activities of their area and other areas to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
Responsible for the handling of parts while repair is in progress which includes the proper tagging and disposition of these components.
Assist in initiating Material Requests for stock and/or material as required.
Keep tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition and, when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired
Utilize personal protection (safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, gloves, etc.) as necessary while conducting daily duties
Submit in writing any suggested change in operational procedures that will enhance safe, cost effective aircraft maintenance
Responsible for completion of all department internal Company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, etc
Must provide standard tools and toolbox needed to perform duties.
