Job Description:
The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for scheduled or unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; piston engine, propeller, airframe flight control, landing gear, troubleshooting systems, sheet metal and composite repair.

- Perform all maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, and manufacturers’ technical data.
- Maintains hand and special tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Responsible for personal and company tool accountability to include reporting unserviceable tools and equipment to appropriate responsible party.
- Performs serviceability checks prior to operating powered and non-powered support equipment.
- Complies with established policies procedures and standards.
- Supervise and assign tasks.
- Complies with all safety environmental security and housekeeping standards.
- Complies with training requirements.
- Assists in training newly assigned personnel.
- Operates vehicles both special purpose and regular as authorized.
- Practices good housekeeping tool control FOD awareness/prevention and safety always.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all L3HARRIS aircraft to include weekends and holidays.
- Perform daily tasks assigned by shift lead mechanic.
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs, climb, crouch, kneel, and be able to work in confined spaces.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on L3Harris’s training fleet of aircraft.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiar with Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Requires developing knowledge and skills typically obtained by a combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of A&P Mechanic experience.
- 2 yrs. post-secondary/associates degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of A&P Mechanic experience.
- Current A&P License without violations. (Airframe and Powerplant)
- Current driver’s license with a clean record.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience on General Aviation aircraft.
