Q1: What is so special about your aviation jobs board?
A: AviaNation is the latest, most technologically advanced jobs board that offers unique services unavailable on other boards with higher membership fees. In addition to conventional services like Web apply features, objective-based job alerts and resume forwarding, we offer a host of advanced and innovative features. Here is a brief list of some extra features: resume FAXing service, job application log to help you track your resumes, objective mismatch warning, etc.

Q2: How does your Instant FAX service work?
A: If a FAX number is supplied with the job opening, you will be able to click on it and open an I-Fax pop-up window. As soon as you submit an I-Fax form we will send your resume (kept in our database) to the destination Fax number. This is a fee-based service since in most cases long-distance fees apply to Fax transmissions. We charge the same low flat fee, regardless of where in the world you want your resume Faxed.

Q3: What is the benefit of keeping a job application log?
A: A job application log tells you which employers you have already sent your resume to via either Fax or email.

Q4: What is the "objective mismatch warning"?
A: The objective mismatch warning tells you when a job that you are applying to does not match your objectives. Although this feature will not prevent you from applying - it will help you notice if you are applying to a wrong job by mistake.

Q5: What exactly are we paying for?
A: Here is a similar question: "Information about most of the listed job openings is available free of charge on the respective web sites, so are we paying for otherwise free information?" The answer to this and other similar questions is NO. You are paying 25 a day for not having to visit hundreds of web sites on a daily basis (unless you absolutely want to). Please check the constantly growing list of employers/recruiters whose jobs can be found on AviaNation.
 - Based on the 6-month membership fee of $44.75.

Q5: What is ATPL ICAO?
A: Airline Transport Pilot License that is acceptable to the International Civil Aviation Organization.

In some cases, foreign airlines will not accept a FAA ATP when they require an ICAO ATPL. In other cases they will accept FAA certificates.
There is no actual certificate that says ICAO on it. The ICAO is the FAA, JAA, T.C., CAA and so on agreeing on certain regulations. Your FAA ATP is an ICAO ATPL if you meet the above criteria. You cannot get an ICAO certificate. You cannot buy one. You can meet the requirements agreed upon in the ICAO, and hold (any country that is included in the ICAO) an ATP(L). The US FAA in part of the ICAO. If you have 1500 TT inclusive of only 50% SIC, and have 250 PIC, actual PIC as defined above, then you DO hold an ICAO ATPL.
