Senior Flight Instructor Pilot - Middle East

The Senior Flight Instructor Pilot is highly-motivated, experienced, self-driven team player that has the ability to perform in a fast changing operational environment. This candidate will lead a team of U.S. pilots and will be responsible for delivering training on Cessna and/or Beechcraft aircraft and simulation devices. Significant travel will be required in support of training delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

* Support international customer activities to include conducting Training Needs Analysis and delivering flight crew training in Textron Aviation aircraft in and out of CONUS.

* Pilot aircraft; maintain flying currency and proficiency and be willing to adapt to dynamic flight schedules.

* Lead the development, as tactical aviation SME, of courseware, flight syllabi and Standard Operating Procedures.

* Responsible for flight crews assigned to the program and quality assurance oversight of customer deliverables to include flight and simulation programs of instruction.

* Contribute to the growth of the organization with innovative thinking and safe, effective execution; interface with external customer leadership.

* Work independently and provide solutions to difficult technical and logistical challenges.

* Consult and coordinate with other functional areas, both internal and external to TRU Simulation Training, to accomplish program development.

* Participate in system design and design reviews (commensurate with operational experience).

* Travel to off-site facilities for aircraft delivery, simulation test and customer support activities; assist in development of flight plans and after action reports.

Required Education:

* Bachelor's degree.

Required Qualifications:

* FAA Commercial Single and Multi-Engine Land pilot license with Instrument Rating.

* 1,500 flight hours total pilot time; 1,000 flight hours as PIC.

* 500 flight hours turbine multi-engine; 100 flight hours single-engine aircraft.

* Former USAF, USN or USMC Military Flight Instructor; CFI, MEI, CFII.

* Formation flying experience in military ejection seat-equipped aircraft.

* FAA high altitude endorsement or equivalent military training.

* Be independent and motivated; able to self-direct and manage time effectively.

* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Class I medical certificate.

* Candidate must be a citizen of the United States

* Be willing and able to travel from home; position is located in the Middle East.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Qualifications:

* Graduate of military flight training curriculum (USN, USMC or USAF).

* Graduate of formal military weapons school (USN, USMC or USAF).

* Five years military and/or civil flight instructor experience.

* FAA ATP pilot license.

* 2,000 flight hours total time; 1,500 flight hours PIC; significant fast-jet flight experience.

* 50 hours flight time using Night Vision Goggles (NVG's) in fixed wing aircraft.

* Experience in military weapons delivery (air-to-air and/or air-to-ground attack).

* Experience in airborne use of military sensor systems (RADAR, FLIR, etc.).

* Additional aircraft Type Ratings.

* Previously held a SECRET (or higher) security clearance.

Leadership

* Supervisory experience.

* Effectively delegates tasks.

* Able to share skill-set and mentor pilots.

* Performs well in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and rapidly changing environment.
