The Project Coordinator will be responsible, as
principal lead, for all administrative aspects related to
project management for an innovative $1.8 million
dollar federal grant from the U.S. Department of
Labor, Trade Adjustment Act Program. The 4-year
grant will impact the standardization of required skills
needed to close the skills gap experienced by the
aviation industry. The National Aviation Consortium
(NAC) will use aviation endorsed manufacturing
credentials to build full career aviation pathways. The
National Standard Credentials will transform the
delivery system of 2-year colleges to meet the needs
of the TAA-workers and the industry. The position
requires leading and coordinating activities with
college and external partners; supervising staff;
working closely with various administrative units and
the project team; oversight management of the
budget; designing and implementing data collection
and reporting processes, managing, and ensuring
compliance in tracking, evaluating and reporting with
the Department of Labor. Responsibilities will include:
Development and implementation of processes and
procedures supporting the execution of grant
objectives, spanning multiple stakeholders.
Ongoing review and implementation of grant goals
and outcomes.
Development and implementation of comprehensive
project timeline and responsibilities.
Coordination and communication with faculty,
administrators, staff and students working on the grant
as well as appropriate college departments and
programs to include the Business Office, College
Relations, Assessment, and IT.
Recruitment, hiring and supervision of grant personnel.
Coordination and communication providing subject
matter expertise supporting course content and
assessment development to our partners.
Arranging for training on all aspects of grant for all
staff and partners.
Management and maintenance of program, resources,
and systems.
Oversight of program assessment and evaluation.
Oversight and support of online, competency-based
Coordination of delivery model for program with all
Oversight of budget, working closely with fiscal
management team.
Communication and coordination with grant
evaluator; meeting all federal grant reporting
Development of plan for sustainability of educational
model and effort.

This is an exempt position reporting to the Interim
Executive Director, Business Training Center.

Funding for this position is dependent on annual
allocations and future grant funding.

Bachelor’s degree in business or 4 years of equivalent
Two years of leadership and management experience.
Experience managing a grant budget and/or a federal

Experience with business and community outreach.
Knowledge of and experience with competency-based
teaching and learning.
Experience with online teaching and knowledge of
emerging trends in e-learning.
Experience managing new program development.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Demonstrated creative problem solving.
Experience using a computer and Microsoft Word and
Excel, database programs, email, and website
Ability to work with all levels of professional staff,
faculty, administration and external agencies.
Commitment to cultural diversity in college curricula,
activities, student body, faculty and staff.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information:

Work is typically performed in an office setting. The
ability to sit at a desk/computer station and operate
standard office equipment such as a computer
requiring repetitive arm-hand movements is essential.

The salary, $66,650 - $69,343 per year, is based on
the current administrative/exempt salary schedule.
The college provides an excellent benefits package
