Job Summary and Mission

This role contributes to Starbucks success by ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests while providing "Starbucks" class service. This is a great opportunity to join an evolving flight department that is growing to meet our company’s needs.  Flight Attendants are essential to the flight department and providing a consistent level of safety standards and service expectations.

The primary role of a Flight Attendant is to ensure passenger safety on board the aircraft while providing elite service in a professional manner.  Oversee organization of flights from minutest detail to handling of emergencies.  Coordinate with flight deck to review trip details and emergency procedures.  Act as liaison among client, flight crew and dispatch to provide smooth operation.  Ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background with creativity to plan menus and work with private chefs/caterers and restaurants to provide upscale five star meals for our guests.  This position researches guests needs/requests and make special accommodations and is responsible for the purchase of supplies and picking up special items from supermarkets and restaurants.

The average flight days for our team are 15 days per month. Additional tasks include: assisting flight manager with additional duties such as aircraft inventory, hangar inventory, etc.  

Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

   Establishes and maintains flight attendant guide in the flight department operations manual.
   Performs other duties as assigned by the pilot in command.
   Performs preflight, through-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft emergency, cabin and galley equipment. Operates aircraft systems and equipment such as electrical, interphone, doors, exits. Ensures cleanliness of aircraft interior.
   Provides for passenger comfort during aircraft operations. Plans all menus and coordinates meal requirements. Purchases required food and supplies to serve meals and beverages. Provides cabin service and monitors passengers in-flight.
   Provides leadership, direction and assistance during an emergency, including aircraft evacuation, administering first aid to ill or incapacitated passengers. Handles emergencies according to procedures. Briefs passengers. Performs orderly evacuation of passengers and crew. Provides emergency medical assistance.
   Supervises loading and off-loading of aircraft passengers and baggage. Ensures access to escape exits.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

   Attention to detail
   Ability to work effectively as part of a team
   Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines
   Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
   Ability to handle in-flight medical emergencies
   Training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
   Proficient with all aircraft emergency equipment and knowledge of emergency procedures
   Detailed knowledge of FAA regulations
   Strong culinary experience preferred
   Ability to manage finances, submit receipts in a timely fashion, etc strongly preferred
   Bachelor’s degree preferred
   FACTS, Flight Safety or equivalent FAA certified training program preferred
   Corporate aviation flight experience strongly preferred
