ConocoPhillips General Aviation Services is currently recruiting for
an Aircraft Captain position.  This position serves as pilot-in-
command (PIC) of company aircraft in support of global aviation

The ConocoPhillips Aviation's Aircraft Captain is responsible for
supporting all international and domestic flight operations
requirements for ConocoPhillips.  This position reports to the Chief


The Aircraft Captain is responsible for:
•Safely and proficiently operating the company aircraft
•Providing team leadership and promoting teamwork within the
aviation department
•Performing duties as second-in-command when required
•Maintaining preparedness to proficiently operate as a trip captain
for ConocoPhillips Aviation anywhere in the world with three hours
•Supporting flights with the highest regard for guests, senior
leaders, team members and others in order to reflect the highest
levels of service
•Maintaining the ability to readily adapt to changing schedules
•Planning flights, selecting the safest and most efficient routes,
providing for contingencies, developing alternative flight plan routes
•Calculating weight and balance problems
•Obtaining, reviewing and interpreting weather forecasts
•Filing flight plans
•Checking NOTAMS
•Completing Flight Assessment and risk analysis tools
•Performing aircraft pre-flights and post flights
•Determining appropriate fuel loads
•Determining the proper loading of passengers, baggage and cargo
•Assisting in the loading of passenger, baggage and cargo
•Completing records and appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks
and operations forms
•Operating the aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations
and policies
•Possessing the ability and willingness to travel and remain in
locations other than the assigned home station for extended
periods of time on short notice (three hours)
•Being self-motivated and be able to work effectively as well as
efficiently without direct supervision


•Legally authorized to work in the United States
•12 plus years of documented aviation experience
•Have an Airline Transport Pilot FAA Certificate, multi-engine land
•4,000 hours minimum flight time
•2,000 hours as Pilot in Command
•1,000 hours turbojet flight time
•Experience in military, corporate or airline flight operations
•Passport with no restrictions to international travel

•Experience in an advanced technology cockpit with EFIS and FMS
•World-wide flight experience
•Ability to lead and develop a seamless rapport with the pilots and
other members of the department's team
•Four-year degree from an accredited university
•1000 hours Gulfstream G550 or G450 experience
•Completion of high altitude physiological training
