Degree(s), Certification, Professional Training or Skills Required: FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificates (A&P) Inspection Authorization Preferred
Job Description: Develops and maintains inspection standards, methods and procedures utilized by the Quality Department to comply with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures. Issues inspection authority to individuals who meet accepted industry standards and adhere to the rules and of the certificate holder and/or regulations. Coordinates evaluation and approval of vendors with Department Leaders. Maintains the following Quality System documentation on behalf of the XOJET: Operations Specifications and /or Capability Listings List of Approved Suppliers General Maintenance Manual Roster of Management, Supervisory, and Inspection Personnel Employment Summaries for Managers, Supervisors, and Inspectors Quality System forms FAA Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS’s) Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) Technical Data Used in the Maintenance, Repair, and Alteration of Articles Quality System and Technical Training Records Manages Internal and External Assessment of the Quality System. Reports audit findings to appropriate Department Managers for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and initiation of effective Correction Action (CA.) Coordinates RCA and CA activity with Department Managers for any quality escapes or audit findings. Ensures that calibration of precision test equipment is accomplished at regular intervals and maintains a record keeping system that ensures the established check periods are not exceeded. Reviews purchasing documentation to ensure that the following Quality requirements are met: Suppliers are Provided with Technical and Quality Requirements All Functions are FAA approved before Sub-Contracting any Maintenance Vendors are Approved Reports Malfunctions, Failures and Defects (MFD) to FAA, as required. Reports Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP’s) to FAA, as required. Ensures that Major Repair and Alteration Forms (FAA Form 337) are issued, as required. Ensures that Maintenance Release and Returned to Service (RTS) documentation conforms to applicable requirements. Develop, manage and coordinate FAA Acceptance of the Training Program. Ensures that technical and On-the-Job Training (OJT) records are maintained for technical and inspection personnel. Ensures that inspectors, including Delegated and Receiving Inspectors, are trained on proper techniques and inspection methods relative to their assigned duties. Duties may be delegated as necessary; however, the Quality Assurance Administrator is responsible for the accomplishment of assigned Duties and Responsibilities. Is considered directly in Charge of Maintenance. May make airworthiness determinations and RTS as authorized.
Experienced Desired: 5 years maintaining, inspecting turbine powered aircraft BS in aviation maintenance management or related field preferred
