Description of Duties/Essential Functions  

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under general direction of the Executive Chief Pilot, plans
flights, pilots and navigates fixed wing aircraft capable of all
weather flying providing air transportation for state personnel
and materials, and conducting aerial surveys. This position is
directly responsible for the safe, efficient and professional
conduct of the flight. Complies with departmental safety rules.

Minimum Requirements:

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to
the completion of four years of college.
Requires a 1st class Medical Certificate and passing an IDOT
pre-employment physical, an Airplane Multi-Engine Land Airline
Transportation Pilot Certificate (ATP) with no limitations,
either a commercial or Airline Transportation Pilot (ATP)
certificate with single-engine land airplane rating, 1,200 hours
pilot-in-command, 1,000 hours multi engine airplane other than
centerline thrust, and 1,500 hours total fixed wing pilot time.
