Description Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Development & Program Management, this position is responsible for researching, analyzing and making recommendations as it pertains to business development opportunities within the Technical Publications business aircraft division. Responsibilities •Develop, lead and implement strategic initiatives to increase revenue, increase margin or reduce costs •Develop cost model, perform competitive analysis, research and develop pricing strategies for both existing and new products •Negotiate and document purchase agreements with large customers •Management of key suppliers, soliciting quotations and developing multiple sources •Creation of sales forecasts and budget plans •Respond to customer requests for quotations •Develop Business cases for new projects, business ventures with partners, and new technologies. Evaluate Return on Investment (ROI), net present value (NPV) and feasibility assessments •Contribute to a continuous improvement culture, by developing and implementing enhancements based on lean manufacturing concepts.
Qualifications •Undergraduate Degree/Certificate in Commerce, Economics or Business Administration. (Completed or in progress) •Strong business acumen with entrepreneurial flair, 2 to 5 years of business experience. Technical and/or aerospace experience would be an asset. •Proven ability to drive and manage change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to sell ideas and be convincing. Experience in mediation and/or negotiation would be considered an asset •Project Management expertise and/or experience. Good judgment, well organized. You are able to work under pressure and respect deadlines •Ability to analyze complex problems with limited information, interprets findings, and makes recommendations. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze data and present findings to Senior Management in a concise manner •Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills •Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment. •Driven and results oriented •Leadership attributes and aspirations •Excellent English communication skills.
