Purpose Contribute to analyses regarding the implementation of enhanced navigation services for aviation that incorporate Global Positioning System (GPS) and modernized Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) at MITRE, one of Fortune's Best Companies to Work For eight years in a row.
Key Functions Aviation navigation requirements, architectures and systems analysis. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) performance analyses.
Required Education/Experience: BS or equivalent and 5 years of related experience or MS or equivalent and 3 years of related experience or PhD and 1 year of related experience
Desired Education/Experience MS or PhD in EE
Required Skills: Electrical engineering background. Good analytical skills. Understanding of GPS and navigation systems performance. Radio frequency interference analysis skills. Modeling and simulation of CDMA-type receivers (like those used for GPS) for the purposes of performing signal acquisition and code tracking performance analyses.
Desired Skills Good verbal and written communications.
Travel Statement *This position will require overnight travel up to 20 % of the time.
