Rampart Aviation is currently hiring A&P mechanics for its North
Carolina base of operations. Experience in the DHC-6 Twin Otter
or CASA 212 are desired. At a minimum, experience in turbine
powered (PT6A) aircraft required.
BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
Rampart A&P mechanics work on all company owned and customer
aircraft. A&P mechanics perform the full range of airframe and
engine maintenance, repair, modifications, inspections. Servicing
of aircraft is performed in accordance with approved methods,
techniques and practices. Minimum of four years total aviation
maintenance experience, plus a civilian or military aviation
maintenance technical school is preferred. Experience with the
TPE-331 or PT6A engine is preferred.
All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applicants must own or obtain
a Mechanic's toolbox. Position may require travel to both foreign &
domestic locations. Must be able to obtain a current and valid U.S.
passport.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold the following Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) Ratings:
· Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)
Candidate Requirements:
· Twin Turbine experience required
· CASA 212/DHC-6 Twin Otter experience preferred
· International Operations experience preferred
· Department of Defense experience preferred
· Hold Valid US Passport
· US Citizen
· Be able to pass drug, alcohol and background check
· Must be willing to travel internationally to remote locations
· Must be willing to work overtime
· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
· Valid United States Drivers License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
Physical Effort: Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing,
kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring
uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose
weight may exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to
perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment
where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment
where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes
of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Travel to austere and inhospitable
high stress environments will be required. May be required to work
in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to
fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock
hazards.
