DESCRIPTION:	Cablevision Division Cablevision Corporate Department Name Corporate Aviation-CSC Job Location NY / Nassau County Requisition ID 9372BR Position Type Full Time Description The Director of Flight Operations will be responsible for managing all facets of the Corporate Flight Department including flight operations, scheduling, aircraft maintenance, finances, purchasing, hiring, and hangar administration for the Cablevision Corporation, Madison Square Garden Flight Operations and the Dolan Family Office. Specifically the Director will: -Ensure safe and efficient flight operations for all entities listed above in a cost efficient manner. -Ensure that all company aircraft are operated in compliance with the manufacturers Approved Flight Manual, FAR’s, Flight Operations Manual as well as the regulations and requirements of other agencies with jurisdiction over flight operations. -Serve as the principal interface between the Corporation and the Flight Department. -Establish and implement all Flight Department flight and maintenance policies and procedures. -Establish the standards for Pilot, Flight Attendant, Dispatch and Maintenance Technician training and administer their performance evaluations. -Supervise all aircraft scheduling activities and administer all hangar operations including maintenance and security protection of the CSC Transport and MSG facility; ensure crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time limitations. -Maintain flight proficiency, necessary flight and aircraft type ratings, and act as Pilot in Command of company scheduled flights.§ Keep abreast of current events and developments in the aviation industry and making recommendations to the Chairman/CEO/COO when necessary. -Prepare and administer Flight Department annual operating budget, capital budget, purchasing and operational expenses. -Develop / implement the Safety Management System. Qualifications -Proficiency and currency in aircraft currently used by company: Gulfstream V, Gulfstream IV, Sikorsky S-76 C++ helicopters, and Boeing 737-400. -Appropriate license and supervisory experience. -Demonstrates knowledge with respect to the operation of a Flight Department, the content of the Flight Operations Manual, and the provision of the Title 14 of the CFRs and the standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities to ensure safety. -Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. -Ten or more years of diversified aviation experience, five or more years in corporate aviation, three years of aviation management experience, and three years as Captain of turbine powered aircraft. -5,000 hours of total flight time with a minimum of 3,000 hours turbine engine aircraft. -Management and communications skills necessary to oversee the Flight Department and to interface with all levels in the company.
