Responsible for procurement and expedition of inventory in "Aircraft on Ground" situations for both American Eagle Airlines and Executive Airlines during all hours of operation. Accommodating responsibilities include but are not limited to: intra- company parts transfers, purchasing from authorized purchase vendors, expediting from QA approved repair vendors, loaning and borrowing from participating F.A.R. part 121 Air Carriers, after hours time resets on rotable inventory with maintenance constraints, final authorization of all Dangerous Goods shipments, tracking of tool movements, constant monitoring of aircraft deferred items (MELs), etc...Also responsible for retrieval of all green-tagged parts classified as Dangerous Goods located outside of the United States. Some travel is required.
Extensive experience with an airline operation or equivalent experience relating to inventory management. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, make critical decisions while working under significant pressure to meet the needs of several maintenance departments and carriers in an expeditious and cost effective manner. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods in reference to shipping procedures in accordance with Federal regulations. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written skills • College degree preferred or equivalent experience • Understanding of AEAI and departmental policies and procedures • Experience in working effectively under extreme deadline pressure • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language • Must be able to exercise sound judgment in making recommendations on information gathered/reviewed • Flexible and capable of adapting to constant change • Ability to learn PC applications and apply knowledge • Must work well under deadlines and high volume stress of project work • Ability to prioritize tasks • Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently • Must work with minimum supervision • Ability to work with all levels of management in communicating issues and making presentations • Must report to work on a regular and timely basis
