The purpose of the Duty Manager at Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) is to assigned scheduled and unscheduled work to line maintenance at AUH, based to work packages planned, while he is monitoring the timely completion. Additional call ups for Etihad aircraft undergoing Base Maintenance at maintenance provider – GAMCO, whenever the need arises. Assessing Etihad's daily aircraft maintenance operation at AUH from Line to Base Aircraft Maintenance, in order to ensure the maximum dispatch reliability level.
Additional key responsibilities include: Review and monitoring the technical status of Etihad's fleet in relation to the levels of deferred defects, spare loans and any technical discrepancies across the fleet. Setting priorities to have the right aircraft back in service at the right time and to optimise aircraft availability (in conjunction with OCC) when 100% availability is not possible. Actively coordinate and communicate aircraft changes with OCC and AOG situation at AUH inclusive outstation. Guides and steers the line maintenance in the daily operations to assure that the most efficient course of action are taken to provide a serviceable fleet at any time Co-ordinates the receipt, distribution and use of all received information regarding technical problems in the daily operation.
Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of line and base maintenance operations, familiarity of maintenance regulations issued by an appropriate regulatory authority (preferably EASA and/or the U.A.E GCAA) Should be computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)
Training: Formal technical training in at least 2 Airframe / engines types of Etihad's fleet.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years airline industry experience in aircraft maintenance certification / maintenance management.
