Position Description: Conduct FAA and company required ground instruction to flight crew and operations personnel. Develop and maintain courseware materials that are presented in the classroom.
Conduct recurrent flight crew training for DC-10 and/or MD-11 flight crews. Class contents include all regulatory required subjects and any additional company required subjects.
Conduct initial DC-10 and/or MD-11 aircraft systems training for newly hired flight crew, flight crew who transition into the DC-10 and/or MD-11, and flight crew upgrading. Subjects taught are defined in the World Airways FAA Approved Training Program Manual.
Conduct Basic Indoctrination training for newly hire flight crew.
Conduct all required HAZMAT, Security and Emergency Training for World Airways personnel.
Attend general and specific training as necessary to maintain proficiency in all subjects required to be taught to others. Initial and continuing education is mandatory to achieve and maintain necessary level of proficiency to impart material to others.
Develop instructor lesson plans, student guides, evaluations, syllabi, and courseware to support training courses required by the FAA and World Airways.
Perform administrative records keeping insuring above tasks are completed as required.
Documented technical writing training and experience.
Preference given for experience on World fleet types, primarily the MD-11.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Reader (or greater).
Prior experience in Flight Crew Ground School Instruction required.
Prior experience with courseware development to support flight operations.
A minimum of five years of classroom and/or flight instructor experience.
