Job Description
The Dispatcher plans and monitors flights in accordance
with Federal Aviation Regulations and adheres to all
Company policies and procedures.
The Dispatcher has responsibility over the safety,
economics, passenger service, and operational control of
the daily flight schedule. The Dispatcher communicates
any irregularities to team members within the Operations
Control Center (OCC).
The Dispatcher reports to the General Manager - OCC.
Responsibilities
•Manage ExpresJet's daily flight schedule while
maintaining situational awareness of local, regional, and
national issues during the assigned shift to enable safe
operations and achievement of Company goals for
completion factor and on-time performance.
•Maintain currency relative to ExpressJet's OCC policies
and procedures.
•Maintain a log of all activities and irregularities for
management review. Use company notification system to
advise of irregularities when required.
Requirements
•FAA Aircraft Dispatch Certificate issued by the
Department of Transportation.
•Must be at least 23 years of age per FARs.
•High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
•Previous Dispatch experience preferred.
•Excellent organizational skills, highly motivated and
flexible.
•High- quality, accurate work with minimal supervision.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Strong skills in situational assessment.
•Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the
organization.
•Proficient computer skills.
•This position will be subject to pre-employment and
random DOT drug testing.
•Must be able to work a schedule accommodating a 24/7
operation.
