Job Summary: The Director of Maintenance is a newly formed position at LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tennessee. The purpose of the flight department is to provide safe, efficient and convenient air transportation to assist in achieving the mission and goals of LifePoint. The Director of Maintenance reports directly to the Chief Pilot and will be responsible for the maintenance and safety of LifePoint Hospital's corporate jet.
General Responsibilities: Provide safety of the plane. Stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Operate in the most cost-effective manner without ever compromising safety. Ensure quality airframe, engine and avionics maintenance and repair. Assist with development of P&P. Establishing and managing schedules for inspection, general overhaul, repairs and notifications. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Maintenance and upkeep of hangar and offices. Secure and manage flight and maintenance scheduling software. Fulfill duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated from time-to-time by Chief Pilot.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Education and Special Certifications…) High School diploma required. Minimum 10 years of recent experience with aircraft maintenance and modification on jet aircraft. FAA certified in Airframe and PowerPlant Mechanic (A&P) with Inspector Authorization (IA) Certified Factory Training in Hawker 750 or 800A/800XP Valid U.S. passport Basic computer skills Trade school or equivalent 4-year apprenticeship. Must have knowledge of shop mathematics, electrical, electronic theories and electrical systems, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, working qualities of material, structures and production shop methods. Ability to read and understand drawings, instructions and Maintenance Manuals; responsible for keeping Maintenance Manuals current. Must have attention to detail and be able to work on top of aircraft, in confined areas and from ladders for extended periods of time. Must be willing to work overtime, as required.
