Job Summary:
The Captain/First Officer is a newly formed position at
LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tennessee. The
purpose of the flight department is to provide safe, efficient
and convenient air transportation to assist in achieving the
mission and goals of LifePoint. The Captain/First officer
reports directly to the Chief Pilot and will be responsible for
acting as Pilot/Co-Pilot or First Officer for assigned flights.
General Responsibilities:
Provide safety of the plane, its passengers and those on
the ground; primary consideration in every decision.
Deliver first-class customer service on every mission to
include the coordination of catering, as needed.
Working in conjunction with the Chief Pilot, identify and
adopt industry best practices.
Stay current with federal and local flight regulations.
Operate in the most cost-effective manner without ever
compromising safety.
Ensure proper aircraft maintenance and operational
readiness.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Ensure compliance with pilot warranty requirements as
specified by current provisions of aircraft insurance
policies and licensure requirements.
Assume First Officer/Captain responsibilities when
assigned; must be capable of taking full control of aircraft
while in flight.
Fulfill duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated
from time-to-time by Chief Pilot.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Education and
Special Certifications…)
Possess FAA pilot certification with necessary type ratings.
Qualified to pilot a Hawker 750 aircraft.
Ability to inspect vehicle for safety, fuel, oil and water before
departure.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Greater than 3000 hours of total flight time in a jet aircraft.
Certified - FAA - First Class Medical
Valid U.S. passport
No accidents or violations.
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
