| DESCRIPTION: |
Under the guidance of the Director of Education, this person will serve as a technical writer for the production of AOPA Foundation programs, such as interactive online courses, live safety seminars, webinars, videos, and print publications. Topics include safety, airports, image of general aviation, and growing the pilot population. The individual will be responsible for program production from concept to delivery while ensuring that the Foundation's high standards for technical accuracy and creativity are met.
Job responsibilities:
Manages and organizes the production of AOPA Foundation education programs:
Writes, edits, and revises content for AOPA Foundation education programs, materials, and outreach in a variety of formats.
Provides A/V technical skills: Photography, photo editing, video filming and editing.
Ensures that the AOPA Foundation's standards for creativity, innovation, and technical accuracy are met or exceeded.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent expereince preferred. Two-four years writing experience with solid writing and editorial skills. Aviation-related major or minor a plus.
Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Eager to learn new procedures, techniques, software, and equipment.
Must be flexible and participate as a team player.
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating. Flight Instructor Certificate preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
