Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) is the world's biggest in-flight catering facility providing in-flight catering and support services for airlines from Dubai International Airport. With a workforce of over 6500 multinational employees, EKFC has a clientele of 120 airlines and airline hospitality lounges in Dubai International Airport. The work force has significant diversity in terms of industry and job types.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Food Safety & Cleaning Services, your responsibilities will include:
•Manage day to day activities of the Food Safety Specialist & Food Safety Assistants which include preparing rosters and maintaining Hygiene records. •To act in the absence of the AVP- Food Safety & Cleaning Services and make decisions on food safety issues, conduct hygiene audits, attend Management meetings etc •Audit and inspect Dubai International Airport lounges and other EKFC outlets on a regular basis. •Report findings and to liaise with the concerned departments on preventive actions to be taken. •Conduct Advanced and Intermediate On-the Job Hygiene Trainings for Senior Food Handling Staff in Production, Operations & Supply Chain departments. •Inspect staff accommodations on a regular basis for pest control & hygiene issues. •Updating in-house testing procedures and laboratory equipments with the implementation of latest laboratory procedures and techniques. •Supervising Food Safety Specialists activities such as rosters and verification of microbiological reports. •Work closely with Central Purchasing and Quality staff assessing suppliers through supplier audits and recommending the qualification through an evaluation procedure in consultation with the management. •Support Management in providing professional response for food poisoning allegations & non-conformities received from airlines. •Periodically review the Hygiene procedure to bring it up to date with local regulations and international standards. •Ensure that EKFC is meeting the Dubai Municipality and Public Health Department regulations and liaise with regulatory agencies.
Experience and Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree in Science or equivalent qualification •Extensive hygiene, food safety management systems experience in a high volume food production environment •Proven experience in performing audits, liaising with auditors and local authorities •Proven experience in risk management programs •Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence a diverse range of stakeholders •Ability to lead and promote a positive safe working culture in a multinational environment •Proven ability to implement a structured cascade communication program that reaches all levels of the department •Highest standard of professional conduct including a high standard of verbal and written communication •Demonstrated ability to manage staff •Ability to resolve customer complaints and anticipate emerging customer needs to continually improve service standards Salary & Benefits: Salary package will be discussed during the interview to successful candidates.
